About Me

“The society that separates its scholars from its warriors will have its thinking done by cowards and its fighting by fools.”

"Talent hits a target no one else can hit; Genius hits a target no one else can see." - Arthur Schopenhauer.

"The perfect dictatorship would have the appearance of a democracy , but would basically be a prison without walls in which the prisoners would not even dream of escaping. It would essentially be a system of slavery where, through consumption and entertainment, the slaves would love their servitudes. " - Aldous Huxley

"Excellence is an art won by training and habituation. We do not act rightly because we have virtue or excellence, but we rather have those because we have acted rightly. We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit." - Aristotle

“Those Who Can Make You Believe Absurdities, Can Make You Commit Atrocities” - Voltaire

"A Marxist system can be recognized by the fact that it spares the criminals and criminalizes the political opponent." - Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn

“An economist is like a man who knows 364 ways of making love, but doesn’t know any women” - Sir Geoffrey Howe

“Free speech is not the cause of the tensions that are growing around us, but the only possible solution to them.” - Sir Roger Scruton

"Of all tyrannies, a tyranny exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It may be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end, for they do so with the approval of their consciences." C. S. Lewis

"A gem cannot be polished without friction, nor a man perfected without trials." - Seneca

"I once met a man who had a dollar. I, too, had a dollar. We exchanged dollars. We each still had one dollar.
I once met a man who had an idea. I, too, had an idea. We exchanged ideas. Now, we both had two ideas." - unattributed Chinese proverb

"The majority of your opponents will be losing players... Until you are playing in a fashion that they disapprove of, all you will have gained is the approval of losers" - Alex Fitzgerald

“I swear by my life and my love of it that I will never live for the sake of another man, nor ask another man to live for mine.” - John Galt in Ayn Rand’s Atlas Shrugged.

“No human being wants to accept a loss, when they can gamble to possibly save what they have invested. This makes homo sapiens incredible parental stewards of their genetic material, but awful gamblers.” - Alex Fitzgerald

"In totalitarian countries there is complete freedom of speech – you can say anything that you want to. Once." -- Groucho Marx

“Happiness is having position on a calling station with a bankroll - and all the time you need to relieve him of it” -- 1Warlockism

“If you want a picture of the future, imagine a boot stamping on a human face—for ever.” -- George Orwell, 1984

"Nothing in life is so exhilarating as to be shot at without result." -- Winston S Churchill

“Every record has been destroyed or falsified, every book rewritten, every picture has been repainted, every statue and street and building has been renamed, every date has been altered. And the process is continuing day by day and minute by minute. History has stopped. Nothing exists except an endless present in which the Party is always right.” ― George Orwell, 1984

"Be like water making its way through cracks. Do not be assertive, but adjust to the object, and you shall find a way around or through it. If nothing within you stays rigid, outward things will disclose themselves. Empty your mind, be formless. Shapeless, like water. If you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup. You put water into a bottle and it becomes the bottle. You put it in a teapot, it becomes the teapot. Now, water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend." - Bruce Lee

For anyone curious about my username, Warlock is the name of my giant cat. He came to me as a rescue when he was 5 weeks old. At that time he fit comfortably in the palm of my hand. Now he's ~27lbs of furry muscle and mayhem. Think Marmaduke as a cat. Heck of a poker player too :)
