About Me

Well I am not a crybaby who is intimidated by pre-flop raises or all in bets!
(Cant take the heat then go to a damn limit table! Don't belly ache like a darn fool!)
I embrace players who over bet their cards and take extra risks to win!
I will catch you!

If your a passive player who is afraid to push your chips or bet until you have a pat hand.
I will be stealing your chips while you sit and wait for that perfect hand!
I will get you!

There are 3 primary elements to the game of poker:

Play your cards (bet them if you have them - those who hesitate are lost!)
Play the table (recognize other players tendencies and styles - aggressive or passive!)
Play your stack (tight when you are short stacked and aggressive when you have a large stack!)

The goal of any educated gambler is to wait until the law of averages is in their favor.
Then pounce at the opportunity!
Bad beats are part of the game.
You are going to lose some along the way.
But if you apply these strategies, over time based on the law of averages,
you should end up a winner in the long run!

Reading the board

It's imperative and essential you are always very attentive to what falls on the board.
First the flop, then the turn followed by the river cards.
You must always be aware of potential hands out there based on the cards that fall.
Watching to see if the board pairs up = meaning a tight becomes a possibility.
If there are flush or straight draws. Being aware of the possible hands that could be opposing you.

Chasing Draws

The key to chasing draws is simple, don't do so unless the fishing is cheap!
If the fishing is expensive and you don't catch your draw you will lose excessive amounts of chips!
Never put large amounts of chips at risk unless you have the best hand already!

Do not fall in love with nice hole cards!

A pair of cowboys (KK) might look good in the hole.
But when there is an ace on the flop 90 % of the time you going to lose!
Remember good cards are only good cards when you get the flop.
Without the flop those cards have zero value.
How many times have we watched someone lose a large amount of chips sitting on a pair of pockets?
Thinking because they are nice cards that the other cards aren't there!
A pair of 10s has about zero value after a flop with two face cards!
DON'T FALL IN LOVE WITH PRETTY CARDS!

Bet Control

This is a key element at times in poker.
Myself as a very aggressive player like to control the betting when I am able.
When you control the betting people usually assume you have a hand.
Why would you be betting without one (maybe a draw, bottom pair)?
Or as we said above to intimidate others on the table.
Having control when leading the betting can lead to opportunities to bluff on the river.
Others assuming you have been leading the bet with a good hand will often fold "inbetween hands" .
If you bet out on the last bet again.
Don't ever forget the best players are very disciplined.
They will wait until the final bet to ambush those who are too aggressive.
Got to be able to play both strategy based on pretences of your game.

Easy Chips

I make allot more chips simply betting the minimum last bet when in position to folding hands than I lose employing this strategy!

Postition

It is essential to recognize the position you sit in regards to the small and big blinds.
Who you are betting before or behind.
Like when we spoke of bet control your position will dictate if you should bet or not.
Depending on the differing circumstances of each hand as they develop.

The Bluff - 2 reasons
1) To bully and intiminate your opponents
2) To claim a pot

The first is a very dangerous and reckless strategy to employ.
It takes a master to work it well therefore it should be avoided!
The best don't use this technique so if you do be very careful!

The second reason can be lucrative when it works! However, the objective is VALUE!
Ensure your bluff investment is worth the rewards you are obtaining from the pot if you can steal it!

Playing Style

If you visit the elite tables you will find there is a consistent strategy to how most play their cards.
So here is a general outline to give you an idea of the strategy they employ.
Most good players DO NOT BLUFF or overbet their cards.
Most will use pre flop raises with cards such as pocket pairs, AK, AQ, AJ, A10, KQ, KJ,suited cards, etc...
This helps ensure you have a pot in the middle so you do 'GET PAID"!!!
Nice to win a pot but you need chips in it to have value!

Card Feed

Unfortunately Replay and other sites are not true poker. Cards do not fall at random.
Instead they are feed based upon the betting cycles.
Raising and re-raising has a dramatic affect on what cards feed.
So once again control of those elements can change the possible outcomes.
Be aware of these facts when you play!

Tips

FIND THE FOLD BUTTON!
GET TO THE BANK!

It takes a combination of aggression and patience at the right times to be a great card player!
The ability to adapt to ALL styles of play!

The most crucial element in the game of poker is LUCK.
I hope its with you!
See you at the tables!
