[2017] Gemstone League - Diamond

IMPORTANT NOTE:
There will be no Gemstone Diamond Weekly League leaderboard from January 1st through January 13th. The Gemstone Diamond Weekly League will resume on January 14th, 2018 and run from Sunday through Saturday in 2018.

For complete details on all leaderboard updates, please refer to our forum topic, 2018 Poker Room Update. More information will be shared this week on this thread.

The Gemstone League - Diamond is a weekly multi-table tournament leaderboard rewarding Replay Poker's most successful medium and high stakes players. The competition applies to eight daily tournaments, all featuring a 50K chips buy-in. Each week, a prize pool of 3M chips will be shared among the leaderboard's top 20 finishers.

Built for recreational players, the leaderboard is using the average of tournament points earned as a scoring type. This ensures that any player seeking competition and rewards has a chance to win without having to play numerous tournaments each day. However, players will be required to play at least 5 tournaments to qualify for the weekly leaderboard.

TOURNAMENT POINTS CALCULATION

The points a player earns in a tournament are calculated:

(1000 × ( √Runners)/√(Finishing Position))×(1.01+log10(buyin))

For example, if a player enters a tournament with a buy-in of 5,000 chips and 200 runners and the player finishes in 6th place the player will receive 27,193 points towards their leaderboard position:

(1000 × ( √200)/√6)×(1,01+log10(5000)) = 5773.50 ×4.71 = 27,193 Points

Tournament points are only awarded to players finishing in the top 50% (inclusive) of entrants, and who were present (not away) for at least 50% of the hands in their tournament.
