Replay Poker’s volunteer team includes moderators, translators, and more! Today we’re highlighting one of our Player Reps, who’s there to be a friendly face at the table if you need any help. Meet Lorraine246!

We asked her a few questions. Check out her answers below.

1) Tell us a bit about yourself! Where are you from? What are your interests?

I’m originally from Jamaica, but I’ve lived in Canada for almost fifty years. I love to cook, and to take long walks. I am a member of a hiking association.

2) How did you get interested in poker? How skilled do you feel you are now?

I learnt to play poker at a senior center that I used to belong to, but I find it more enjoyable to play online. I have been playing at Replay Poker for three years. My favourite poker game is 7 Card Stud because I win most of my chips there. My least favourite games are the Royal because most of the time when I play this game I don’t have a strong hand, so I seldom win. Although I don’t like Royal games, I have been fortunate enough to have had about seven royal flushes since I began playing at Replay. The hand that I often miss is a straight flush, because I don’t often recognize when I have those cards, so I fold when I have the winning hand. Consequently, I’ve only won two straight flushes in all the time that I have been playing poker.

I love playing at Replay Poker because the site is well maintained, and because they have a great number of Freerolls throughout the day. They also have excellent promotions, and I often win many chips by playing in these. I play every day to take advantage of the maximum number of chips that I can get in the daily bonus. I think I have a good track record at Replay Poker because I have a lot of patience, and usually only play when I have a strong hand. I seldom bluff because that to me is a losing strategy. I dislike playing with people who go all-in with every hand because I usually don’t have the confidence to call their bet, so I often end up folding a winning hand.

3) How did you find Replay Poker? What made you decide to become a volunteer?

I am a Player Rep, and was invited to be a volunteer by Patrick, and I readily accepted because I would like to be of assistance to new players. I think Replay Poker is a good place to start playing poker because the site has games that are only for new players, so you can play with people at your own skill level. They also have many games with low entry fees, so you can play in a number of games even if you don’t have a lot of chips.

4) Anything else that you’d like to share with players? Any advice, on or off the tables?

My advice for all players is to play as often as you can, and for sure at least once per day because the more you practice is the better player you will become. My other advice is to play in most of the promotions because this is an excellent place to win lots of chips and tickets, especially if you qualify for a position on a Leaderboard.
