Replay Poker lost a dear community member this week — Ron Pittenger, better known as Alan25main on our site.

If you’re a reader of this blog, you’ve undoubtedly seen some of Ron’s fantastic and informative articles. As a passionate poker player, Ron loved sharing his stories and experiences with card games.

However, Ron’s presence wasn’t just felt here on our blog. On Facebook, he shared pithy pieces of advice. He acted as a Forum ACE volunteer, writing engaging threads on the forum. And of course, he loved to play cards — he dominated the competition in Replay’s freerolls in particular!

Ron first approached the Replay team to write a bit about his poker virtues and vices. After that, he dabbled in poker fiction, which he drew from his past experiences. And then he became a mainstay here, contributing helpful tips and historical accounts of the wild games of the past.

We are fortunate enough to have a few of his articles left to publish, and you’ll see those in the coming weeks.

Didn’t get a chance to know him? He shared a bit about himself in this article, and it’s a great way to look back on someone who made such an impact on Replay.

Ron will be deeply missed. All of us on Replay staff send our thoughts and condolences to his family and friends.
