Our Replay Poker players form a unique community. The Clubhouse private league recently ran a charity tournament to raise money for cystic fibrosis. And it was a huge success! SarahFra, the event organizer, shares a bit about the event in this recap.

One of the long-time, best-loved members of Replay, Ahured, has a young son who was born with cystic fibrosis. Noah has become an inspiration for many people who know Ahured through Clubhouse, Muckers, and Donks [Replay Poker private leagues].

As Noah’s sixth birthday approached, and he battled a rough month, we decided to hold a fund-raiser to raise some money and more importantly, raise awareness of CF.

Held on Noah’s sixth birthday, March 1st, we converted the typical Clubhouse league 250k MTT to a 100K, all are welcome tourney: World Poker for Cure.

We invited well over 100 friends, and anyone was welcome to contribute to the Fight CF fund, but donations were optional. Additionally, we put a ‘bounty’ on the past two crown winners, which Replay generously stepped up to fund.

The outpouring of goodwill from so many here was astounding. There were 58 attendees, over $2500 was raised, the poker was excellent, and the love and kindness shown on the tables was astonishing. Some members even commented, “most meaningful tournament on Replay”. Many players made special avatars celebrating Noah. One player even sent an audio file of himself singing happy birthday. Most importantly, everyone made a six-year-old boy’s birthday really special.

I’d like to thank everyone who participated in the event, those who donated, those who played, and Replay’s support.
