About Me

VERY LONG AGO...

Rhondo Alla Turca
(Turkish March)

Music by:
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart

Version: Rhondo Alla Turca: Different speeds.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dXrX9numYn4
The first speed is slow and is a good speed to start with.

This is the speed I wrote it too.

How fast can you sing it?

Teacher
Once up-on a time,
ver-y long a-go,
that's the way that
fair-y tales are
ver-y of-ten told.
With a prin-cess
and a vil-lan
and a her-o dressed in gold.

Lit-tle bit of this.
Lit-tle bit of that.
Sprink-le in some mag-ic and a wiz-ard in a hat.
There you have it
that's the blue print
of the stor-ies told of old.

Student
I have read them man-y man-y times.
Some in verse and some of them in rhyme.
I've seen fair-ies run-ning in the woods.
I've seen dra-gons nev-er thought I would.

Teacher
You can laugh out loud,
ev-en in a crowd,
you may shed a tear my dear
you'll make the au-thor proud.
Just en-joy your-self and keep your dreams in a
mag-i-cal place.

                                                                       Student

That is eas-y that is what I'll do,
and I'll read them once or twice or few.
I could act out all my fav-rite parts,
e-ven sad ones that will break my heart.

Teacher
That is what I know.
This is what I say.
You could write one
it would be fun
how a-bout to-day?
You could put it to some mus-ic in a new,
class-i-cal way.

Teacher
You could write
to a waltz one that is slow and ver-y dream-y.

Student
Or a march
with a brass sec-tion that real-ly gives it kick.

Teacher
You could choose
a com-pos-er like a Bee-tho-ven or Mo-zart.

Student
There's man-y
I could pick from can you tell me which is which?

Teacher
Have you ev-er
lis-tened to a
piece of music
and you heard a
stor-y in it,
one that seems to
come from no-where,
stay-ing in your head?
And once you,
have the gist of
what your hear-ing
then you have to
write the ly-rics
search-ing for the
words that you want said.

Tea-cher
Don't you think that
it is eas-y
'cause it is-nt
there's a lot of
hard work in it
try to count the
syll-a-bles and
match them with the notes.
And then you
think you have it
writ-ten per-fect
just to find you
must re-write it
some-thing does'nt
go with what you wrote.
Student
Wait a min-ute
I don't know if
I can do it
it's con-fus-ing
so much to it
I think it would
sure-ly make me
diz-zy.
But I'll try it
word by word and
line by line I'm
sure that it will
turn out fine and
happ-ly ev-er af-ter
they will live.

Teacher
That's the spir-it
now get to it,
grab your pen and
find the mus-ic
lis-ten to it,
roll it round and
round un-til it's
firm-ly in your head.
And then you
have to face the
hard-est part and
write it from your
mind and heart and
hope-ful-ly it says what you want read.

Student
I think I know,
what you're say-ing
it's im-por-tant
don't de-lay it
put it off or
just for-get it
put it in the clos-et.

And I know that
as the day goes
on and on I
trudge a-long and
move a-long and
al-ways let the mus-ic
lead the way.
Teacher
Now you're talk-ing
go en-joy it
sav-our ev-ry
word ex-plore it
you may find there's
man-y man-y
ways to fid-dle
with the notes and
find what you want.
Ev-en when you
think you have it
you should al-ways
re-check and see
if it's not ex-act-ly what you thought.

Teacher
Take it in
the whole pro-cess ev-ry thing that you un-cov-er.
En-joy it
and be grate-ful that you ev-en have the chance.
There's much more
mus-ic out there just wait-ing to be dis-cov-ered.
Now re-joice
sing a tune or may-be ev-en skip or dance.

Teacher
Will you make them laugh?
Will you make them cry?
Will you make them sit in awe
and can't believe their eyes?
That's your pur-pose
and your mis-sion
that's the rea-son that you try.

Write it on a bus,
Write it in a car,
write it an-y where you want
no mat-ter where you are.
Just be care-ful
make sure you don't
strain your brain un-til it's fried.

You'll be proud of ev-ry sin-gle word.
In a for-mat ver-y few have heard.
You'll be do-ing some-thing ver-y good.
And they'll like it I am sure they would.

As you reach the end,
put a-way your pen.
It's a fact you can't go back
and hear it first a-gain.
Let ev-ry one en-joy it
now that you are fin-al-ly done.

You may sell it if you have the mind.
Give it free-ly ev-ry sin-gle time.
It may be-come pop-u-lar some-how.
If it does then end it with a bow.

Now be on your way.
Not much more to say.
Let your wild-est thoughts take flight
and let them fly a-way,
Set your mind to flow-ing free-ly
you'll be in a love-ly state

Just be glad
some-one took the time to
teach you tell-ing stor-ies.

And be glad.
that you're learn-ing how to
write a brand new style.

But be-ware,
there's a down side to the
writ-ing of those stor-ies.

There's no rest,
from the con-stant sing-ing
in your head each day.

All the time,
time,
all of the day and all the time,
it plays in your mind.

That's fine,
fine,
all of the words and all of the rhymes,.

They,
are just fine and,
I'll,
say my friend.

Smile.
You've worked for it so smile for a-while.
I hope you had fun.

It's done.

Wow!

Ev-ry line ev-er-y sing-gle one.

So...

It is time to bow.

Your turn,
you try,
to write a brand new song.

The end!
