About Me

Hello people! Enjoy yourselves!

Some hands (most recent first)

#1124819226 I love it!
#1118845335 I'm happy with this call.
#1117501319 Three of us had premium hands.

#1101465325 when a full house is not enough

#1098239751 my third big downturn. @JK3 keeps stacking me. I was ahead on the turn when he bet big, and I hit my flush on the river...

#1093847572 A lesson in reverse pot odds (or how to win a heads-up tournament on the 8th hand).

#1092496974 on the turn I faced a bet of 2.7 million with the pot total about 6.7 million. I knew I was probably behind, but had a flush draw. Turns out I had 31% equity. Did I make a good call? It worked out. I hit my flush and got paid 3.2 million more on the river. But was it good poker? I'm inclined to say yes, but I'm not sure.

#1092494356 Another day, another great flop. Dude bet his whole bankroll on top pair!

#1091680364 3rd exquisite flop of the day
#1091576521 An even nicer flop.
#1091573406 Nice flop.

#1085746463 A successful semi-bluff. I had J6 spades.
#1085751909 Runner runner boat-a-licious!

#1085725397 Rogue waves are rare powerful waves that come along every now and then, and knock people off their feet. Rogue waves are actually the conjunction of two or more waves of different frequencies. When the waves line up, their power is amplified.

Big hands in poker are similar. A straight is an infrequent hand. So is a flush. When they coincide, you have the makings of a big hand, such as this one. This was the winning hand of a million-chip-entry tournament. Brought me back over 250M, signaling the end of a big downswing. (There can always be another one though!)

#1083281716 Bluffing for stacks.
#1082461364 They say slow playing top set can be dangerous, but I wasn't worried...

#1081991907 Omaha Shootout pt 1: two attack, I defend myself
#1081992197 Omaha Shootout pt 2: I finish the job
#1081995103 Omaha Shootout pt 3: Mexican Standoff erupts (I barely get nicked)
#1078849943 That was exciting.
#1077385829 I love me some suited connectors! :-)
#1076492346 Aces vs Kings, pt 4
#1076168587 I flop bottom set. My opponent flops a nut flush draw.

#1072854977 after a huge sun run, I've been on a massive downturn. Hands like this one. I was on another web tab and I clicked "call" before I realized I was in for 2 million. But I flopped a full house. Great! Or maybe not... Another four-way all in, and I got coolered.
#1071346761 Aces vs Kings again
#1070074579 putting the pressure on. (Early in the tournament. I had Qs8h, which was basically nothing. I did have a flush draw at one point. Missed it, but kept barreling as if I hit it.)
#1068948095 Oops!
#1065023823 flopped my second Royal
#1064314974 12 hours later, my biggest hand yet.
#1064088740 My biggest hand at the time.

#1064374548 A four-way all-in with multiple casualties.

#1058262616 A mildly amusing three-way all-in.

#1058181446 Here I lay the trap in the winning hand of a 30-person, million chip buy-in tournament. I started out way ahead and kept my lead for half the game before dwindling to second-to-last. Then I came back from behind to win it.
